Zodiac sign – Libra – Tribe of Ephraim
The 7th month called Tishrei on the Hebrew calendar, God’s calendar stands for Ephraim who was the 2nd born son of Joseph, whom Asenath, daughter of Poti-Pherah, priest of On, bore to him in Egypt (Genesis 41:50-52).
According to the Hebrew alphabet letter Ephraim represents the Hebrew letter called Zayin, which means; weapon, ornament, gender, sustain. also this alphabet letter is equivalent to the number 7.
According to the Jewish (Hebrew) studies of kabbalah the zodiac sign of Ephraim is Libra or the scale.
In the book of Genesis 41:52, we see Joseph naming his 2nd born son to Ephraim. The word “Ephraim” meaning fruitful, the name Ephraim also refering to the blessing which God pronounced over man when He said “be fruitful and multiply in the garden of Eden” as in Genesis 1:28.
The name Ephraim became the name of the second son of Joseph called Ephraim: For God has caused me to “be fruitful” in the land of my affliction.” (Genesis 41:52).
This is the blessings Jacob received from the Lord, and it was spiritually transfered into the life of Ephraim, the son of Joseph via the oral prophetic utterance of Jacob.
Genesis 48:4 says: and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession.
Genesis 48:5-6 says: And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
6 Your offspring whom you beget after them shall be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance.
In Genesis 48:15-16 And he blessed Joseph, and said: “God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,
16 The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
Genesis 48:19-20 But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother (Epharaim) shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.”
20 So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will bless, saying, ‘May God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!’” And thus he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
The scripture in Gen 48:5-6 tells us what Jacob said about Joseph’s sons, Joseph was the father of Ephraim, so his blessing also falls upon Joseph’s children, and this is the blessing:
Deuteronomy 33:13-17 says: About Joseph he said: “May the LORD bless his land with the precious dew from heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below;
14 with the best the sun brings forth and the finest the moon can yield,
15 with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills,
16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
17 In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh.”
Libra, the scale, is the zodiac sign for Tishrei the 7th month on God’s calendar.
The Libra, with its symbol of a balancing scale, eminently appropriate for a month that Jews see as ushering in a period of divine judgment.
All people are judge
d on the heavenly scales of justice, wrote the scholar Maimonides.
Performing even
one good deed or fulfilling one commandment can tip the scales in our favour, and through our personal deeds any one of us can bring salvation to the entire world.
This information below has been taken from MAYIM HAYIM MINISTRIES.
The scales of Libra symbolizes “Divine Judgment,” one of the major themes of this month.
On Rosh HaShanah the “books in heaven” are opened, and on Yom Kippur they are closed. A month of perfect performance towards God’s judgements (word) .
The other major theme of this month is the Coronation, and Crowning of the Messiah. One of the majors stars to the right of Libra scales is called: Corona.
The Hebrew name for Corona is Atarah, meaning: “Royal Crown,” and in Arabic it means: Ornament or Jewel. The bright star in this crown is “Al-pacca” meaning: “The Shining.”
To the left of Libra scales are two more majors stars, the first one adjacent is Lupus, “The Wolf” and in Latin it means: “The Victim.” The second is called Crux, meaning: Cross. What a picture I see here!
This teaches us that Messiah, “the victim” weighed down with the sins of the world at the “Cross,” received a “Crown” for His work. One day Messiah will receive even more crowns when Believers throw their crowns down at His feet. For the New Covenant Scriptures tell us:
“Messiah’s eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head He were “many crowns”; and He had a Name written, that no man knew, but He Himself.” Revelation 19:12.
You see, all of the deeds of all mankind will one day be weighed and judged, and it will be in this month. It is said of Moznayim (Libra), it root comes from the root word “oznayim” (ears), implying balance and equilibrium.
You know, the kind of inner sense you get from your inner ears, stable balance. God is required to judge Israel on Tishrei, but how does He judge her? It is with great mercy that He does so. For thoses who have trusting faith in Yeshua Messiah’s finished work, you have past from judgment unto Life already.
Your works will be judged to see if they are gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble. If they are wood, hay, stubble they will be consumed by fire.
This real is the “Checed – Mercy” of God on our behalf to burn up our dead works so they do not stand before God. Checed is God’s faithfulness on our behalf. He is faithful even when we are not, praise be His Holy Name!
