Tishrei the 7th month – Yom Kippur
This is the 7th month, in the Hebrew (Jewish) calendar, God’s calendar.
In this month there are many powerful feasts of God.
The first feast is Rosh Hashanah, also called the feast of trumpets. This feast falls on the 1st day of Tishrei in the seventh month on God’s calendar.
Yom Kippur, or Day of Atonement is the second feast, which falls on the 10th of Tishrei).
Feast of Tabernacles or booths also called Sukkot in Hebrew begins on the 15th of Tishrei and finishes on the 22nd of Tishrei.
Yom Kippur or The Day of Atonement falls on the 9th of Tishrei when the sun goes down and ends on the 10th of Tishrei, when the sun goes down.
Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement:
The 10th of Tishrei, Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement. (Leviticus 16:29-34 & Leviticus 23:26-32), falls on the 9th of Tishrei in the evening when the sun goes down, and ends on the 10th of Tishrei evening when the sun goes down.
This is the day when the high priest went into the holies of holy, the place where the holy Ark of the covenant, and the two cherub with out stretched wings were.
The high priest went into this most holy place to intercede for himself, and for the nation of Israel, and this was done only once a year.
After the death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, the Temple was then moved into heaven (Revelation 11:19, Revelation 3:12 & Matthew 6:10), where Yeshua, Jesus our Lord became the high priest that goes into the holies of holy for all the nations that are in the world as it is written in Hebrews 8:1-3, Hebrews 9:11-12 & Hebrews 2:17-18.
This day; (the 10th of Tishrei) is one of the most holy day on the Hebrew calendar. Because this is the same Day when Adam entered into a covenant oath with God, obligating himself to the principle of giving his tithes (tenth percent) only to God as it is written in Genesis 2:16-17.
From that moment onwards, all humanity through Adam were obligated to present their tithes (act of honour, reverence, respect and humility) towards God (the creator, the judge of all judges).
The 10th of Tishrei being the day of atonement called Yom Kippur in Hebrew. On this day (day of atonement), the heavenly court room goes into cession, (God becomes a judge to all the human souls in the earth).
where all souls on the Earth are pronounced guilty or not guilty depending on how they treat God (His morals, His ways, and commandments) in the Earth.
The day of atonement, is the day when we humble ourselves in prayer, and intercession, (a 25 hour fast is done, afflicting of our souls from sundown on the 9th of Tishrei until when the sun goes down on the 10th of Tishrei according to Leviticus 16:29-30 & Leviticus 23:32).
Prayers of intercession are offered unto God on this day, praying for the nations, our beloved ones, and even those that hate us,
in so doing this provokes God’s mercies from heaven through our High priest Yeshua, Jesus Christ to rain upon the earth.
As Yeshua Christ our Lord stands in intercession for the nations in heaven on this day of Yom Kippur as it is written in Hebews 7:22-25 & 1 John 2:1-5, cruel judgements,
and decisions made by God the Father over people’s lives are reversed into a positive report.
Our effort that we put in prayer for the sake of activating God’s mercies in this season, will bring God’s forgiveness, mercy, kindness and release His blessing upon the earth.
Yom Kippur (day of atonement) is the day when God becomes the Judge of the Earth from His supreme high court in heaven as in Ezekiel 9:3-11 & Psalm 110:1-7.
In fact this is also the season when satan goes before God to accuse the people of God, so if you are not fully serving God as you should,
remember that in this season you have an accuser that wants you to be guilty of every unrighteous act that you have committed according to Revelation 12:10-11 & Psalm 109:6-19.
Scriptures to read and to recite out loud: Hebrews 3:1-19 & Psalm 65:1-13.
