Just like God divided a day into two parts (day and night), so He also divided your soul into two parts (a man and a woman) and these two souls are joined together in marriage.

This makes their intimate relationship to become a holy act before the throne of God ,

in fact sex between this two souls becomes an instrument of worship from which God uses to impregnate His glory into the earth.

That is why the book of Leviticus tells us in Leviticus 15:19-28 , that it is very important for a man and a woman in a marriage to restrain themselves from sexual relation ship in the day of the woman’s period (when she is discharging blood from her private parts),

that almost takes a week( 7 days) and then on top of that she adds on seven days for her cleansing, so all together it becomes 14 days of restraint and holding themselves from each others physical intimacy.

As they do this in obedience to God’s word, not only does their sex life become better, but also this mitzvah( godly or holy action, ) draws them closer into a stronger relation ship with God who created them.

In within this period of time of setting their bodies a part from each other , their prayer life elevates their spiritual inner abilities

so that when that time comes to join them selves together after the 14 days of their separation has ended , their sex life becomes God’s perfect will (holy), in which things and creation in the earth is given life.

Remember that also in this time of separation, the husband and wife are making a spiritual statement that; They are willing to submit their physical marriage under the spiritual covering of God’s teaching and instruction, (Torah).

And after her impurity she is cleansed by washing her body with water.
