How do I know that the desire is from God and not from myself?
There are many ways of investigating your own self to find out if the desire that you have for a man or a woman you want
to marry is from God or from your own emotions.
First of all, if a desire for you to marry someone comes from God, then this desire will always line up with God’s perfect will for your life.
The word of God in Judges 16:4 says that; it happened that Samson loved a woman in the valley of sorek, whose name was Delilah,
Now; you have got to understand that Delilah is an evil character or i rather call it an ev
il desire , which contends and fights against God’s perfect will over your life, especially in the area of marriage.
This Delilah is an evil desire that controls women’s lives (women posses it as a character and a desire)that is used to entice men’s lives (and men lust for it’s beauty, and some will even give up their relationship with God, so that they may please this evil desire)
Judges 16:5 says that; Delilah enticed Samson because of the love of money, and she was more than willing to destroy his life so that she may , decorate, adorn and feed her evil desire.
Samson was in love with her because he was enticed (totally over whelmed, sexually aroused, and overcome by that evil nature in her) by desiring to feed it’s nature, and give pleasure to Delilah’s will, Samson decides to give up God’s relationship,
and he chooses to give physical pleasure to Delilah’s dream (he had to go against everything that the word of God commands him not to do, to be able to get her), and she was with him because she wanted to get paid.
Symptoms of the evil desire, and how to identify it:
*Someone always puts his or her physical needs to be more important than what God commands him or her to do.
*An evil desire says: If I don’t agree to what he or she wants right now, I am going to loose him or her.
*An evil desire will agree to someone’s evil lustful desires and threats like; if you don’t stop being in covenant with your spiritual leadership, and doing those godly things like praying, tithing etc…I am going to leave you and find somebody better than you.
*An evil desire always wants to be glorified by taking God’s place in your life.
*An evil desire always relates to the things of the flesh, always using them as a source of solving things rather than seeking after godly counsel.
*An evil desire is a spirit that will fuss, and start to make a strife about finances every time money comes in, things that are useless, fleshly and materialistic will all over sudden take the first place of a persons heart,
demanding for their right to be possessed, than using the finances to establish God’s kingdom through tithing and sowing or offering into God’s perfect will.
*An evil desire will get violent and hostile towards your life, so that you may stop everything that has to do with honouring God in your life, and become more worldly secular in your every day lifestyle.
*An evil desire always looks for physical compliments, wanting to be physically attended to, and violently refusing spiritual comfort or advise.
This evil desire can be an evil act coming against you from someone you are together with or it can be coming from you against your spouse, or you yourself disagreeing with yourself against God s will.
This is what I call a lustful evil desires, and my advise is that; if you are in such a state with your spouse you want to marry, don’t even waste time arranging for marriage, because that marriage will be built on a lustful desire contrary to God’s desire.
