Marriage is not a union of two souls, but a re-union of two souls.

Marriage is a godly institution that takes place on earth,

so that the two souls that were one soul in Heaven may come together again to re-unite their godly given abilities in within them, Genesis 2:23-24 .

In a God fearing marriage there is a man and a woman that have been joined together for the purpose of making the earth fruitful (bear fruit)

and also enable the earth to multiply in it’s fruitfulness as they intimately join themselves together to become one soul in God’s perfect will for their lives according to Genesis 1:26-28 .

Before we go any further , let me remind you that marriage is a godly idea that came out of God’s spirit, and not a fancy idea that came out of man’s lust for sexual pleasure.

In Genesis 2: 18 God says: it’s not good for man to be alone; I will make him a helper (woman).

Notice that it’s God that desired a woman for the man, and not the other way round, so the woman you marry must be God’s choice for your life (The soul mate that God chose for you even before you came in to your mothers womb).
