Week 2 Gevurah – Discipline and vigor:
Omer counting day 13.
Bonding – Discipline (the bonding/foundation/connection side of discipline) Yesod – Gevurah in Hebrew.
The purpose why you discipline yourself must also be the reason why you are willing to give up yourself for the sake of other peoples lives.
That’s why bonding and connecting, relating to others, and relating to those people that you lead, teach, father or mother is very important.
Ask yourself:
Does my ways of disciplining myself make me so self centred to the extent that I ignore to attend to people’s needs and interests when it’s in my power to do so?
Exercise of the day:
Meet somebody’s need not only for the sake of doing a good deed, but also for the sake of bonding and connecting with who they are as an individual.
