Week 5: Hod – Humility/Devotion:
Omer counting day 35.
Majesty – Humility (the Majesty/Dignity side of Humility) Malchut – Hod in Hebrew.
The humility that denies you your rights of majesty and dignity is not humility at all, but it is false humbleness.
True humility will allow you to acknowledge and honor other people’s strength, but also true humility will uphold your dignity, so that other people will come to honor you and give God praise because of the value of your qualities.
Ask yourself:
Am I dignified through my humility or do I seek to please men through my humbleness because of fear of being rejected by others?
Exercise of the day:
Be dignified in your humility and tell some one how you really feel when they emotionally hurt your feelings.
