Passover – Preparation before Passover
Passover – Preparation before Passover.
12-13th of Nissan
Days of seeking God through prayers and repentance & if you feel led to fast, you can start on the 12th of Nissan to the 13th of Nissan, as you are searching for chametz, leavened things in your life and returning back to God in prayer and repentance.
You start to search for leaven things in within your heart and life. You cannot enter the Passover with chametz, (leaven things) in your lives.
Do you need to forgive someone? Or apologize to someone? Have you been bitter towards someone? Do you gossip a lot?
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 says:
Purge out therefore or cleanse, purify, get rid of the old leaven(evil nature or character) that you may become a new lump as ye truly are unleavened.
For even Christ, our Passover, is sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast of Passover, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice, wickedness, bitterness, unforgiveness, gossip and backbiting;
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth (willingness and a strong desire to be a blessing to others through what you do and what you say).
The 14th of Nissan
Passover offering shall be given before the evening, thanking God for answering you prayers that you prayed during your time of fasting, so that you may be passed over, when the plague of the firstborn, Spirit of death and judgement is released to punish wickedness.
