Understanding the purpose of your ministry
Every human being was created with the ability to be able to lead others or to become a leader, but the sad thing is that some people never mature up into the capacity of being able to utilize the fullness of their spiritual abilities.
When God created man, the word man comes from the word called Adam in Hebrew, and the word Adam stands for female and male as in Genesis 1:27 and In each individual or personality that derived out of Adam God also deposited the qualities of being able to minister to others.
The word to minister or ministry means: to do something with the motive or purpose of making Mankind better, but also this word ministry or to minister means: to use your own gifts, emotions and abilities in way that is able to solve others people’s needs and also introduce them to solutions and methods that will be able to teach them, help them and structure their spiritual behavior so that they may be able to overcome the environment or the situation that produced their need.
The state of your emotions is the capacity of your ministry:
The deeper meaning of this word ministry means: to use your emotions and your spiritual abilities in a way that is able to help, to structure, to transform, to elevate, to inspire, to encourage, and to mould other people’s characteristics into a character that will be able to benefit them and the society that they live in.
There are so many people who have ministries yet when they themselves are not emotionally whole, and because of this disorder in their emotional system they then begin to deceive other people that are in the same state, some do it consciously and some do it unconsciously,
for example: If someone has an emotional disorder in the area of loving money or being greedy when it comes to money, this same person will find himself leading or ministering to people that have the same problem, and through his ministry he begins to come across problems among his students or group of people that he is ministering to, and each problem seems to be connected to people with financial problems (people who can’t pay their debts, people who are greedy when it comes to money, people who lack integrity in their finances etc…) and all these problems are just a reflection of his own weaknesses that are not yet fully submitted to God’s perfect will.
What happens when your ministry is drawing victims that are in need of your help, and all you have to offer them is a bunch of nice rehearsed programs of good speeches and unfulfilled revelations that you yourself have not yet been able to carry out through your obedience?
Your ministry lies in within the emotional capacity of your body system, because what your emotions have been able to accept from God that is all you can give to others.
Because when you can fulfill what God has commanded you to do in obedience then the people you minister to will be able to fulfill what you are commanding them to do.
2 Corinthians 10:6 says; and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Your ministry is your emotions, and your emotions are good at communicating the truth about your life to the people that you are ministering to, for example: every word you say to the people that you are ministering to, those same words carries the reality of your obedience, trust, feelings, emotions and actions that you apply towards what you are saying,
because every word has the ability to expose your true image (things you do when other people are not seeing, how you deal with your personal problems and weaknesses) and if your image is lining up with what you are saying, then the words you speak will be able to punish the character that is in rebellion with what you are saying, and also minister conviction, change, and transformation into the lives of those that you are ministering to.
That’s why it can be so difficult for somebody who has not yet forgiven his enemies to be able to minister forgiveness to others, such people always end up with ministries full of victims that come together to destroy each other’s lives, and to also deceive each other in thinking that they are able to solve their problems yet when they themselves do not have the solution to their own problems.
You should remember that as a minister, every revelation that you receive from God is your personal revelation until you yourself have been able to accept it by living in obedience to its requirements before you decide to go out there commanding others to do what you are saying.
