What is the meaning of the word language?
Language is the tongue or the art of speaking words or the designing of words, So that these words may become the description or the structure which defines the qualities and values of a certain culture.
The word “language” means; a system used for the expression of thoughts, feelings, ideas etc, by the use of spoken sounds or conventional symbols.
To speak someone’s language means; to communicate with understanding or to speak words in a form that is common to someone’s tongue.
Language is the system of linguistic signs or symbols expressed in spoken words for the sake of transmitting thoughts, ideas, feelings, and emotions.
Every culture has a language which defines the values of its customs.
Through a spoken language, people are able to express the spiritual essence or influence which is concealed in the art of their customs, culture, tradition and religion.
“Mother tongue or native language”.
The language of an individual is also called the “mother tongue”, because via one’s language (mother tongue or native language), that is where the transmission of emotions, ideas, teachings, story tellings, feelings, images etc which mothered (brought up and nurtured) one’s life, were transmitted into his or her character.
Someone’s mother tongue or native language is also the tongue which was spoken by his ancestors or fore parents of his tradition.
And through that same language his upbringing as a child was fed with information which pertains to his or her culture.
Today we live in the world with mixed traditions and cultures, where people learn different languages, so that they may increase their ability of being able to communicate with other people from other cultures.

The first language spoken in the world.
The first language which was spoken from the very beginning (in the book of Genesis) was called “Hebrew”.
Hebrew was the first language that God used to transmit His own emotions, ideas, thoughts and His ability to imagine into the lives of His people.
