Who was Adam
The meaning of the word Adam:
The Hebrew word for man derives from the Hebrew word אדם(Adam).
Which means “dust, to be red, blood”, referring to the ruddy color of human skin, from the Akkadian word Adamu means “to make”.
According to Genesis 2:7 God formed Adam’s body from the dust of the ground or earth.
Adam comes from the Hebrew word “ah-dah-MAH”, meaning earth, (Earth being the ground, soil, dirt, etc).
In Hebrew this same word אֲדָמָה (Adamah) means earth or soil, but also this same word Adam means blood
‘Adama’ is earth, ‘adom’ is red and Adam literally means man.
They’re all spelled the same way in Hebrew but have different pronunciations.
Who was Adam?
Adam was the first man from whence the entire human DNA derive it’s off spring or origin.
Adam’s body came from the dust of the earth but his soul, (his ability to breathe in and out, the breath which gave life to his body came from God or heaven).
Genesis 2:7 says the Lord God formed the man out of the dust of the ground, and He breathe the breath of life into the nostrils of man and the man became a living soul.
Adam’s soul was an extension of God’s breath and through Adam’s physical body, which was formed from the dust, God’s breath (soul) was extended from Adam into all the living organisms that God had put into the Garden of Eden.
Every living thing (animals, trees, birds, the universe etc), acquired their natural identity, and DNA, and they were also tamed by Adam’s soul, breath, or his ability to speak.
Genesis 2:19 -20 says; out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every bird of the air, and He brought them to Adam to see what Adam would call them, and whatever Adam called each living creature that was its name.
So Adam gave names to all the cattle, to the birds of the air, and every beast of the field.
After God had finished forming the woman’s body out of Adam’s rib, or side, He then brought her to Adam to see what Adam would call her as in Genesis 2:21-23.
In Genesis2:23 Adam said she is the bones of my bones and the flesh of my flesh, I shall call her woman.
Hosea 6:5 says: Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets, the hewn means to fashion, to shape, to form, to design, to structure, to give identity or to encode someone’s DNA.
When Adam sinned against God, by rebelling or eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which God had commanded him not to eat from, from that point of time all living creatures and organism on the earth also partook of that evil nature of Adam’s disobedience against God through his DNA.
Adam had a wife by the name of Eve and eve became the mother of all living beings or organisms, the name Eve meaning; the mother of all living organisms as in Genesis 2:20.
